MEMBERSHIP REPORT

With privileges come responsibilities, and responsibilities fulfilled bring satisfaction and joy.

Come with me, back to the day you are initiated into The Delta Kappa Gamma Society. You stand before a table with red roses and lighted red candles in gold candlesticks. There is a red scarf bearing the symbols of Delta Kappa Gamma and there is a book.

You are repeating these words, "I promise as a member of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, I will be loyal to the policies, participate in the activities of the Society, and pledge a commitment to the Society purposes."

You hold a pen in your hand and sign your name in the appropriate space of the official register for your chapter. You are now a member, singled out because you have exhibited excellence in your profession.

As a member of the Society, you are welcomed into an active working organization, which in honoring you, also requires more than a passive membership. Any organization worth belonging to is an organization which brings values and requires commitment with action.

Some may ask, "What can Delta Kappa Gamma do for me?" The answer is "Have you thought of what you can do for Delta Kappa Gamma?"

Our Society needs your dedication to its ideals and purposes as you accept with willingness and cheerfulness your own responsibilities.

At the close of the ceremony, you are now a member. As you are welcomed into The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International with "…all its privileges, be a member of our Society team and share our friendships, hopes and goals."
