A Healthy Chapter
The Healthy Chapter has members who are enthusiastic and committed to the purposes of the Society. Look for these indications of a healthy chapter:
- 1. Has 15 or more active members.
- 2. Not more than 10% of the chapter members are Reserve members.
- 3. New members are initiated each year.
- 4. Initiates at least one member for each member who retires.
- 5. Orientation programs are held for prospective members.
- 6. Good attendance at all chapter meetings.
- 7. Programs have professional substance and are related to Delta Kappa Gamma purposes and goals.
- 8. All members participate.
- 9. Executive Board meetings are held regularly.
- 10. Members attend local, inter-council, state, regional, and international functions.
- 11. Funds are available to assist the president’s attendance at "other" functions.
- 12. Members are enthusiastic about Delta Kappa Gamma.
- 13. Members are willing to serve as officers and committee chairmen.
- 14. Written and phone communication is excellent.
- 15. Reports are submitted on time.
- 16. Chapter Newsletters and Yearbooks are forwarded as requested.
